Credit Union 24 Deal With Allpoint To Expand Network

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Credit Union 24, the national credit union-owned POS network, will announce this week the addition of the Allpoint network to its CU HERE surcharge-free program, creating what is says will be the largest surcharge-free ATM network in the United States.

The Allpoint ATMs will be a part of the CU HERE Premium program, an offshoot of Credit Union 24's surcharge-free CU HERE network, which combines ATMs at participating credit unions and at Publix Supermarkets with MoneyPass Network locations. The combined network will provide credit unions with more than 45,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide, with locations in all 50 states, CU 24 said last week.

"This will enable our participating credit unions to offer their members national surcharge-free reach and expand their own markets-while continuing to provide the benefits and economy of credit union membership," said CU 24 CEO Jim Park.

Credit Union 24 said it will defray the costs of the Allpoint surcharge-free ATMs during the first year of the program. The expanded CU HERE network will take effect in February 2008.
