CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.–Chattanooga Area Schools FCU said it will pay a bonus dividend of $750,000 to its 9,000 members.
The dividend will be paid in the form of a 10% bonus on all interest earned during 2007 and a 10% refund on all loan interest paid during the year. In addition, the credit union also announced it would add $500 in Christmas cash to the accounts of 100 lucky members.
Meanwhile, in Sitka, Alaska, ALPS Federal Credit Union has declared a year end Share Bonus Dividend and Loan Interest Refund for members, totaling $89,000. The dividend will be paid out at year-end to ALPS members in good standing, split evenly between those with loans and those with share savings accounts.
In Las Vegas, the $123-million Plus Credit Union paid a bonus dividend of more than $1.2 million to its members based on dividends earned on qualifying share accounts and/or interest paid on qualifying loans in 2007. “The more you participate in Plus Credit Union services, the higher the bonus dividend earned." said CEO Carol Schumacher.
Finally, in El Paso, Texas, West Texas Credit Union is returning $745,000 to members in the form of bonus dividends and interest refunds.
