The Wichita Eagle profiled the departure of CEO Gary Regoli from Boeing Wichita Credit Union. Regoli is leaving for a similar position with Achieva Credit Union in Clearwater, Fla. The story included quotes from Marla Marsh, president of the Kansas Credit Union Association, discussing the contributions Regoli has made, in addition to Regoli, explaining he was seeking to move closer to family. The story also reported the growth Regoli has overseen at BWCU.
Old West Credit Union was featured in a story in the Baker City Herald noting it continues to grow and has not been affected by any of the problems in subprime lending. "We're just growing so fast we're bursting at the seams. Desks are on order," the paper quoted Deryl Leggett, senior credit analyst at Old West's branch office in Baker City, as saying. The story also includes details on the CUs history, including its founding in 1957 as Bates Employees FCU. Today, noted CEO Ken Olson, it has $88-million in assets and 8,000 members.
