CUES announces executive award winner and hall of fame inductees

The Credit Union Executives Society on Tuesday announced the recipient of its chief executive award, along with naming two inductees to the CUES hall of fame.

The honorees are:

Chuck Purvi is president and CEO of Coastal FCU

  • Chuck Purvis, CEO of $2.9 billion Coastal Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C., won the 2017 CUES Outstanding Chief Executive Award
  • Doug Fecher, CEO of $3.8 billion Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. in Fairborn Ohio, was inducted into the CUES hall of fame
  • Mike Valentine, CEO of $2.8 billion Baxter Credit Union in Vernon Hills, Ill. was also inducted into the hall of fame.

All of these CEOs will be honored at the CUES' CEO/Executive Team Network, Oct. 10-12 at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

CUES is a resource for credit unions looking to develop leaders, and its board of directors chose these recipients. The chief executive award is given to CEO level credit union leaders who display professional achievement, motivate employees and dedicate themselves to their community. Hall of fame inductees are picked based on lifetime achievement and dedication to credit unions.
