CUs Sign On With USERS

USERS Inc., a unit of Fiserv, Inc., said that three more credit unions are converting to its DataSafe system. Among those converting are the $124-million U.S. First FCU in San Francisco, the $76-million Community First Credit Union in Mulberry, Fla., and the $87-million Tulare County Credit Union in Tulare, Calif.

"We really wanted to move to a browser-based platform," explains Shannon Riley, President/CEO of San Francisco FCU. "After reviewing different systems, we felt that USERS' browser-based Navigator solutions would help us train faster and give our staff access to more information on a single screen." U.S. First will also implement USERS' WebLoan for online loan origination, taking advantage of USERS' ability to integrate online applications with its standard lending platform. Tulare County CEO Philip Clarey added, "USERS gives us many opportunities to improve efficiencies in the front and back office," he says. "The browser-based Teller and Lending Navigator dovetail with our front-office approach because they're so easy to use, flexible, and efficient. That's exactly where our branch model is headed."
