DEARBORN, Mich. -- For the second year in a row, DFCU Financial, Michigan's largest credit union, paid its members a special dividend of more than $17 million.
The dividend, rivaled only by last year's $17.5 million payout as the largest in credit union history, was deposited into members' accounts on Wednesday. The ammounts ranged form $50 to more than $10,000, depending on each member's deposit and loan balances.
Each member received a dividend equivalent to 0.5% of all deposit and loan balances, which includes savings, mortgages, consumer loans and credit card balances.
