LOUISVILLE, Tenn. – East Tennessee Military Association FCU has raised $4,000 and hopes to raise as much as $15,000 to help fly military veterans to visit the World War II memorial in Washington with the sale to the public of a cookbook of 350 recipes compiled from employees and members.
The “American Treasures” cookbook is divided into eight topics, including appetizers and beverages, main dishes, breads and desserts. It sells for $10.
The funds will be donated to HonorAir Knoxville, an organization that flies East Tennessee veterans to Washington, D.C., at no cost, to visit the war memorial.
