EDS, Harte-Hanks In MRM Deal

EDS and Orlando-based Harte-Hanks, Inc. said they have reached an agreement to make member relationship management (MRM) software-the credit union version of customer relationship management (CRM)-more accessible and affordable for EDS credit union clients. Four credit unions have signed on. The MRM software, known as e.VantageTM , provides activity-based costing and profit models to assist in marketing decisions. As a part of the agreement, EDS will operate as an Application Service Provider (ASP) so that credit unions can access the e.Vantage MRM solution remotely without having to purchase or maintain additional hardware and software.

Signing on are: First Missouri CU, St. Louis; Missouri State CU, Jefferson City; New Jersey Postal CU, Hawthorne; and Olin Community CU, East Alton, Ill.,

According to the two companies, e.Vantage uses actual costs per member in its profitability analysis-"a component that no other similar application offers. With activity-based costing, the software analyzes product and transaction information from the credit union's core system, such as how many times a member makes an ATM deposit or goes to a teller, and assigns the exact cost of doing business per member."

The software also allows tellers to see and suggest the products that would be valuable to specific members while they are engaged with the member, the companies said, and tracks what is being offered and the outcome.
