FRESNO, Calif. – Educational Employees CU said it named Elizabeth Dooley, the deputy commissioner of the state’s Department of Financial Institution and head of credit union supervision, as its new president and CEO.

Dooley went to work at the DFI in 2000 from the California CU League, where she was associate counsel.
Beverly Ryan, assistant deputy commissioner for the DFI, will serve as the acting deputy commissioner of credit unions for the DFI.
Educational Employees CU is a $1.4 billion credit union with 140,000 members.
