HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Redstone FCU announced yesterday it has hired Joseph Newberry, a former vice president at the $2 billion credit union, as its new president and CEO.

Newberry returns to Redstone after serving as president of Achieva CU in Largo, Fla. Before that, he was with Redstone for 13 years, serving most recently as its Executive Vice President of Communications and Lending.
Newberry will succeed Gerry Toland, the long-time Redstone CEO who retired in May amidst a fight with cancer. The 69-year-old Toland died last month.
