Fiserv Acquires Underwriting SoftwareProvider

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - (09/01/05) -- Fiserv said Wednesday it hasacquired VerticalPoint, Inc., a Colorado Springs-based provider ofunderwriting software to the life and health insurance markets. Thedeal will let Fiserv's Insurance Solutions Group to offerweb-based, new business workflow portal solutions to life insurancecarriers. VerticalPoint's LifeSuite automated underwriting systemis marketed as both a licensed product and as an ASP offering.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
