TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Guy Hood, one of the longest-serving credit union league presidents, yesterday said he plans to retire at year end after more than 20 years as the president and CEO of the Florida CU League.

Hood joined the league in 1988 and has been influential in many national credit union campaigns, including the 1998 passage of HR 1151, the CU Membership Access Act. He has been a National CU Foundation “Anchor Award” winner for responsive actions in the area of disaster response.
The Florida league has retained CU Employment Resources to search for Hood’s successor. CUER is a service of CU Resources, Inc., a subsidiary of the Texas CU League.
