CLATSKANIE, Ore.-Wauna Federal Credit Union organized weekly open-house events throughout the month of June to highlight Identity Theft Prevention Month.
The events covered topics including: Week 1: Credit Score Consultation, Week 2: Keeping our Children Safe, Week 3: Home Emergency Plans, Week 4: Shredding Sensitive Documents and Keeping them Safe.
WFCU provided members with information about the enhanced WFCU's Member Security program (in branch and e-Services layered security measures), Identity Theft Prevention and How to Fight Back Against ID Theft.
The CU said 7,642 members benefited from the enhanced security program. Those who participated in the open-house events held during the month received a free key chain and participated in the month-end drawing in each branch for a document safe and a paper shredder.
