Vystar Credit Union has established a fund to aid the family of an Orange Park man who died from injuries sustained when his motorcycle collided with a horse that had escaped his pen. Richard and Teresa Ross were both riding the motorcycle when they collided with the horse. Richard Ross died in the accident, while Teresa Ross has been released from the hospital. The horse, named Nike, had a penchant for leaving his pen to visit a mare across the road, according to its owner, Ira Hill, who had previously been ordered by a court to get rid of the horse due to the danger.
