Dennis Godfrey, president/CEO of Navy Federal Financial Group and its title and settlement subsidiary, NFRES, has been named the winner of the 2004 CUSO Executive of the Year from NACUSO. The award was presented by NACUSO Chairman, John Unangst NACUSO's Fall Leadership Conference here.
Under Godfrey's tutelage, NFFG has instituted an investment program that now has assets under administration of almost $300 million, an auto insurance program that covers more than 100,000 members, and a settlement and title group that has closed $3 billion in mortgages.
Meanwhile, NACUSO also honored two CUSOs that tied for the CUSO/CU Best Practices Award: Prime Alliance Solutions and Mission Federal Services, LLC. Prime Alliance Solutions, Inc. works with 64 credit unions and 12 mortgage companies. As a group, they accounted for 23% of all CU mortgage loans in 2003. Mission Federal Services LLC provides an extensive line of insurance products as well as investment services through its broker dealer, CUSO Financial Services LP.
