SACRAMENTO, Calif. - (10/21/05) -- The Golden 1 CU said Thursday itagreed to a five-year contract with BC Communications for voice anddata networking. Under the deal, SBC companies will provide thenation's fourth-largest credit union with SBC PremierSERV FrameRelay service for its 270 ATMs and 69 branches throughout the U.S.In addition, a Synchronous Optical Network OC-48 ring will bedeployed to deliver improved network redundancy and disasterrecovery capabilities. SBC companies will also provide local andlong distance voice services for the credit union. SBC is based inSan Antonio, Texas.
