Golden 1 CU To Raise Huge California’ At State Fair

SACRAMENTO, Calif. A 12-foot-tall spelling of California will greet visitors to the California State Fair next month, courtesy of The Golden 1 CU.

The lettering is being donated by Disneyland Resort and being trucked to Sacramento. The State Fair announced that Golden 1 provided an undisclosed amount, enough to cover the siting, engineering and installation of the towering letters, each of which weighs 5,000 to 13,000 pounds.

They will be installed outside Cal Expo’s main entry prior to the fair’s run, July 12-28.
