WICHITA, Kan. - (05/05/06) -- Seven individuals were indicted by astate grand jury this week with passing phony checks on area creditunions and banks. James Lee Porter, 28, and Jessica Porter, 25,were charged with trying to pass the phony checks on Boeing WichitaCU. Other institutions targeted by the ring are: Colwich State Bank(now Legacy Bank), Bank of America, Southwest National Bank,Fidelity Bank, Commerce Bank, Enterprise Bank and Capitol FederalSavings and Loan.
