MONTGOMERY, Ala.-The $245 million Guardian CU last week gave back more than $785,000 to its members, bringing what it has returned in bonus dividends to $2.3 million during the last three years.
The money was returned in the form of interest rebates and dividend bonuses. More than 20,000 members received money, with one taking home more than $2,900.
CEO Heath Harrell said the rebate was possible due to Guardian's positive financial results throughout the year, driven largely by member relationships and their loyalty. "Our members deserve this."
