LUFKIN, Texas A member of Genco FCU was surprised last when he went to make a deposit at the drive thru and found $500 cash in the pneumatic tube along with the deposit slip even though his $90 deposit had only brought his balance up to $290.

When he got home he knew what the right thing to do, and he returned to the credit union which was closed by then. So he knocked on the door and got someone to open up so he could explain the mistake. The drive thru teller was there in tears, worried she would lose he job over the miscue.
The member, who was a former employee at HEB supermarket, said he knew the ramifications for the employee and what was the right thing to do.
