MEMPHIS, Tenn. – HOPE Community CU, a Jackson, Miss.-based community development credit union, is opening its first branch here in former Regions Bank offices.
The branch is one of 10 closed last month by Regions as part of its acquisition by AmSouth Bank. The conveyance of the branch to the CDCU was part of the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act plan.
Credit union officials celebrated the new branch during a reception last night at the National Civil Rights Museum.
