CMG Estimates $500K In Claims

MADISON, Wis.-CUNA Mutual Group is estimating it will pay claims of approximately $500,000 stemming from Hurricane Charley. Seeing the most damage was Lee County Postal Employees CU, where the sponsor company's building in which it is located lost its roof. CUNA Mutual also donated $5,000 to a relief fund.

$33K In Donations Collected

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-The Florida CU League said its CU Foundation has collected $33,700 to aid victims of Hurricane Charley. That includes 19 CU employees and volunteers who have donated $500 each. Among those whom it is seeking to help is an employee of Vista FCU who is a single mother of four and whose home was significantly damaged.

Members Being Offered A MAP

BURBANK, Calif.-Vista FCU, which has 45,000 members in the central Florida areas hit hard by Hurricane Charley, has activated its Member Assistance Program (MAP). Members who were affected by the hurricane are being offered low-interest loans and loan payment deferrals. To qualify members may have to provide some info, including proof of damage, insurance claims, contractor bids and inspections.

Employees Travel Across The State

MIAMI-Employees of Pan Am Horizons FCU and their families loaded a trailer full of food and supplies drove it across the state to help the victims of Hurricane Charley. While there, a group of employees also assisted in the clean-up.
