CU-HomeWise is a program that helps owners of rental property find renters who have been paying on time. The benefit to the credit union is that they have a unique marketing tool to attract borrowers who want to own a rental property (see story, facing page). But the program also helps ensure that rent is paid on time, and therefore the mortgage.
CU-HomeWise is being piloted with seven CUs.
