Illinois Educators CU Names New CEO, Taylor to Retire

Illinois Educators Credit Union, Springfield, has named Jody Dabrowski chief executive, to succeed the retiring Gene Taylor.

The $50 million-asset credit union said Dabrowski will start on Oct. 5. She previously worked as assistant vice president of risk management at the $668 million-asset Community Choice Credit Union in Farmington Hills, Mich. She also previously worked for the Michigan Credit Union League.

Taylor joined IECU in 1977 as assistant business manager, while working as a teacher at Springfield High School. Taylor was named the CU's president in 1980. He left teaching in 1983 to work for the CU full time.

IECU had 7,110 members as of last month and operates two branches in Springfield.
