American Airlines Federal Credit Union in Fort Worth, Texas, has named Gail Enda as its next president and CEO.
Enda succeeds Angie Owens, who led the credit union for more than a decade and has taken a job as vice president of finance with American Airlines, the credit union said on Friday. Enda had been serving as the credit union’s acting president for the past few months.

Enda began at the now $7 billion-asset American Airlines FCU as a vice president of marketing 17 years ago. She has also managed the institution’s member services, deposit programs and investment services. She was most recently the credit union’s senior vice president of lending and product management.
“Knowing I have a strong and caring leadership team in place to carry this organization to new heights has made this very difficult decision somewhat easier,” Owens said in a statement. “Gail’s breadth of knowledge, strong educational background and significant industry participation make her an excellent selection for this role.”
In her own statement, Enda thanked Owens for “her steadfast leadership over the last 10 plus years.”
American Airlines FCU posted net income of $32.6 million for the first nine months of 2018, about double from the same period in 2017.
