Internet Protocol Telephony Expands VoiceData Capabilities

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - (03/16/05) -- Avaya Inc. said it has contractedwith Truliant FCU and Florida Transportation CU to provide themwith the company's Internet protocol telephony system. Thesoftware-based technology transmits voice as data over a computernetwork in a manner similar to email. The two credit unions haveimplemented Avaya IP Office, a converged voice and datacommunication solution for multi-site networks.
