DataSafe Adds New Features

VALLEY FORGE, Penn.-USERS Inc., a business unit of Fiserv, Inc., said its most recent release of its DataSafe core system includes software solutions that enable credit unions to improve security and boost efficiency, two goals that are vital in the current financial services environment. The release includes the following new features, the company said:

* CIP Member Verification-designed to help credit unions comply with the Customer Identification Program requirements of the Patriot Act.

* Secure Messaging- a method of encrypted online communication between members and the credit union.

* Instant Plastics-enabling the credit union to issue ATM, debit and in-house credit cards to members on the spot.

Nine Sign On With ULTRADATA

PLEASANTON, Calif.-Nine credit unions have signed up for the ULTRADATA System for core processing in the last six months, according to parent company Harland. New customers that will utilize the ULTRADATA System in-house for improved credit union performance include: North Coast Credit Union in Bellingham, Wash.; Nutmeg State FCU in Rocky Hill, Conn., and United Health Services Credit Union in Spokane, Wash. The CUs utilize multiple solutions from Harland and Harland Financial Solutions, including the customer relationship management suite of products, mortgage origination and servicing solutions, Harland checks, and maintenance for an enterprise-wide approach to improving business, the company said. Utilizing ULTRADATA through service bureau delivery are California Agribusiness CU in Buena Park; HealthEast ECU in St. Paul, Minn.; Kitsap County Public Employees CU in Silverdale, Wash.; Northwest United FCU in Arvada, Colo.; Richmond FCU in Richmond, Va.; and Shell Southwest CU in Long Beach, Calif.
