MONETT, Mo. - (10/06/04) -- Jack Henry & Associates saidTuesday it as acquired Verinex Technologies, a Lake Forest, Calif.,maker of biometric fingerprint scanners. The company's mainproduct, Biodentify, provide individual registration, single-touchidentification, event logging for auditing and regulatorycompliance, administration and management. The company's systemsare currently used by financial institutions and healthcareorganizations, and users of point-of-sale transactions. Terms ofthe deal were not disclosed. Separately, Jack Henry announced theclosing of its previously disclosed acquisition of Select PaymentProcessing, a provider of ACH and electronic check processingsolutions.
