LOWELL, Mass. – After a 17-year reign at the controls, Paul Mayotte will retire as president and CEO of Jeanne D’Arc CU, one of the nation’s oldest credit unions, at the end of the month.

The 63-year-old Mayotte took over the credit union in 1990 and grew it from $30 million in assets to more than $600 million. During his time, the 1912 charter went from one facility to 10, including five branch offices, two loan centers and school branch offices at Lowell High, Dracut High and Nashoba Technical High School in Westford.
Mayotte is being succeeded by Mark Cochran, who joined Jeanne D'Arc this past summer as president and CEO designate.
