‘Kitty-Litter’ Robber Guilty In $21,000 CU Heist

ST. PAUL, Minn. – A Brooklyn Park man pleaded guilty to robbing a Minnesota Building Trades FCU branch of more than $21,000 in October while armed with gun that he pulled from a kitty-litter bucket.

Herman Wilson, 44, admitted threatening to kill tellers if they didn't give him money before fleeing with $21,459 from Inver Grove Heights Credit Union.

Employees gave a description of the robber, who also was wearing goggles, a mask, a construction vest and gloves. They also saw the car he used and reported seeing him a few days earlier.

Wilson was arrested in December after trying to flee authorities as they searched his home, where they found goggles.
