Lackland FCU Changes Its Name To Air Force Federal

Lackland Federal Credit Union has changed its name to Air Force Federal Credit Union. The formal announcement was made during the annual membership meeting. "Only our name is changing," said Tom Whitmore, AFFCU CEO. "We will continue to serve the people and families of Lackland wherever they are stationed or living." The $177-million credit union, which is turning 50 this year, noted that only 40% of its 43,000 members live in the San Antonio area.
