Langley FCU Creates Financial EducationDepartment

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - (03/31/05)–Langley FCU here has created anew Financial Education department and named Richard Hill as itsnew director. "Langley has been educating the community onfinancial matters for many years. Now the demand has become sogreat, we decided to dedicate a person to the task,” said CEOJean Yokum. During the past year, LFCU said it has performedhundreds of financial presentations ranging from sessions gearedtowards young airmen at Langley Air Force Base to classroompresentations at local schools. The credit union said it intends totake its education role a few steps further by providing regularmonthly seminars for the public and further enhancing theeducational content of its website.
