WASHINGTON - (08/03/05) -- Credit union members of the Districtof Columbia CU League overwhelmingly approved the proposed mergerof the D.C. and Maryland credit union leagues, the final voterequired for the combination. The two leagues will now move forwardto create a new association representing 160 area credit union, tobe called the Maryland and D.C. CU Association. The newassociation, to be effective Jan. 1, will be based in suburbanWashington, in Columbia, Md.
