COLUMBIA, Md. - (05/31/05) -- The boards of the Maryland andDistrict of Columbia credit union leagues gave their finalapprovals last week to a combination of the two credit union tradeassociations. The merger will create a trade associationrepresenting about 160 credit unions surrounding the nation'sCapital and based in suburban Columbia, Maryland. Members of bothleagues will vote on the merger in July. The name of the combinedorganization will be the Maryland and District of Columbia CreditUnion Association.
