Legacy Community FCU Implements LifeLockFraud Alerts

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - (06/27/06) -- Legacy Community FCU said it hassigned with LifeLock Inc. to install the company's new identitytheft prevention service. The service places fraud alerts with fourcredit reporting agencies: Equifax, TransUnion, Experian andChexSystems, which requires any creditor or potential creditor tocontact a consumer directly for verbal verification before openingany new account or changing any existing account. Credit unionmembers may place fraud alerts directly with the agencies for 90days.
