HARAHAN, Louis.–Carolyn Ricks, director of compliance and credit union development for the Louisiana league, has died.
Ricks, 63, was a 30-year veteran of the league, and also served on the board of Louisiana Central. In a released statement, the LCUL said, “Carolyn was a passionate community volunteer. She spent countless hours serving with the homeless ministry at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, where she prepared and served meals to homeless individuals each week. Carolyn initiated a project many years ago at the league to provide gift bags for homebound senior citizens in the Harahan area each year during Christmas. She also volunteered as a docent for museums in the New Orleans area. Carolyn loved animals and was an avid supporter of the SPCA.”
