Reedy began at the credit union in 1978, when the Olin employees’ credit union, now $500 million in assets, had just $15 million.

When Reedy started at the business, credit unions could not offer checking accounts, and did not offer certificates or mortgage loans. The credit union executive became president in 1990 and held the position for 23 years.

Reedy is going to retire with his wife of 45 years, Judy, to a home near Myrtle Beach, S.C. He plans to spend much of his time golfing.
