BOSTON LPL Financial Holdings, the largest U.S. independent brokerage network, reported second-quarter profit jumped 14% to $45.1 million on increased revenue from commissions and advisory services.
Revenue for LPL, which provides brokerage services for 700 credit unions and banks, rose 12% to $1.02 billion.
For the first six months of the fiscal year LPL reported a 10% rise in revenue to $1.8 billion, and a 24% surge in net income to $99.8 million.
