CANTON, Ohio – A Canton police officer drew his weapon at Golden Circle CU Friday when a young member walked in wearing a mask over his face.
"It’s just a joke," the young man reportedly told the officer, but the officer apparently didn’t see the humor in the prank.
The 23-year-old man was booked into the local jail on a charge of disorderly conduct, the jail records said. He was released a short time later on his own recognizance pending a hearing in Canton Municipal Court.
The charge is a fourth-degree misdemeanor punishable upon conviction by a maximum sentence of 30 days in jail and a $250 fine.
