OVERLAND, Kan. Mazuma Credit Union said it will break ground on a new 60,000-square-foot headquarters on July 11.
The building, to be located at the Shoppes at Deer Creek Woods, is scheduled to open in September 2014.
The new facility will include a three-story atrium, a coffee bar and a fitness center, along with architectural features that include a backlit glass exterior that lights up the skyline and walkout terraces for a scenic view. Inside, the building will contain a branch office with drive-up service and “dialogue towers” inside the branch. Other features will include a 1,700 square-foot community center available to local residents and a series of uniquely themed “innovation areas.”
Mazuma’s current headquarters will continue to serve as a branch for Members in south Kansas City.
