MBA, ACUMA form education partnership

Members of the American Credit Union Mortgage Association will get discounted access to education products offered by the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Tricia Migliazzo is MBA's vice president of member engagement

ACUMA members will receive a discount on all MBA education products that are available for retail sale, except for the advanced risk management course taught in collaboration with the University of Maryland, the trade groups said in a press release on Tuesday announcing the partnership.

“We are proud to partner with a great organization like ACUMA to offer access to MBA’s award-winning education programs,” Tricia Migliazzo, vice president of member engagement at MBA, said in a press release. “MBA and ACUMA already share many members, but we hope this agreement will encourage other ACUMA members to avail themselves of the latest insight and knowledge that MBA’s instructors have to offer.”

Bob Dorsa, ACUMA’s president, said in the press release that even though his organization’s focus differs from that of MBA, the partnership will give members access to resources to improve lending operations and educate employees. Dorsa is set to retire from ACUMA in early 2020.
