Member Convicted Of Killing His Wife In the CU Parking Lot

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – A member of ORNL FCU was convicted yesterday of murdering his wife by driving over her in the credit union’s parking lot last year and sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Carlos Cornwell, 37, ran over his wife, Leoned Cornwell after having an argument about money, police said. The couple were arguing in their car when Leoned Cornwell got out of the car. At that point, Carlos Cornwell ran her over, killing her.

 

Cornwell, who has a history of domestic violence against his wife, has been ordered to serve the entire sentence before he is eligible for parole.
