Members First CU Names Industry Veteran Bruce Leighton CEO

MANCHESTER, N.H. Members First CU has appointed Bruce Leighton, a former executive at nearby St. Mary’s bank (credit union) and People’s United Bank in Portsmouth, as president and CEO of the $145-million credit union.

Leighton has been serving as CEO/CFO since earlier this year, when former Members First CEO Bernard McLaughlin left to become president of $724-million Point Breeze CU in Hunt Valley, Md.

Members First has two branches in Manchester and one in Franklin, N.H. It was founded in 1949 as Manchester Municipal Employees CU.
