Community Financial Credit Union CEO Bill Lawton has set out to visit all of its seven branches-by bike. A longtime biking enthusiast, Lawton is taking his vacation with a bike tour of the credit union's seven branches, located more than 200 miles apart across Michigan's lower peninsula.
Setting out from the CU's headquarters here, Lawton is visiting branches in Canton, Northville and Novi before heading much further north, biking to the credit union's branches in Lewiston, Hillman and Gaylord. In all, the trip is expected to take approximately a week.
An avid traveler and hiker, Lawton has completed a number of bike trips, including one around the country of Iceland that took substantial planning and more than two months to finish.
