Honor CU now has $800 million in assets, more than 75,000 members and a total of 24 branch locations across the state of Michigan, spanning both the upper and lower peninsulas.

“We chose to partner with Honor because of the close alignment of our credit union cultures,” said Rob Viland, PCCU’s former CEO. “Both credit unions share a passion for helping members and giving back to the community, and by joining forces we are now positioned to do even more. This partnership is a win for both organizations.”

Viland will now serve as Honor CU’s chief relationship officer.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity,” said Scott McFarland, Honor CU’s CEO. “The joining of our resources and expertise allows us to offer our members more financial solutions and further strengthens our commitment to Michigan.”

According to call reports, Honor CU posted net income of about $5.6 million in 2016, after recording net income of approximately $6.7 million in the prior year. PCCU posted net incomes about $351,000 and $449,000, respectively, in the past two calendar years.
