ST. PAUL, Minn. - (05/04/04) -- Minnesota Life Insurance Co. saidMonday it has agreed to acquire Allied Solutions, the popularprovider of loan and insurance products for credit unions. The dealsolidifies as a long-time relationship between the insurance giantand Allied, which was founded 25 years ago by several MinnesotaLife associates. The two companies have marketed each othersproducts and services since then. Minnesota Life said it plans toconsolidate the regional sales forces and separate products linesof the two companies. Terms of the deal were notdisclosed.
