Minnesota’s Hiway FCU Promotes For New CEO

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Hiway FCU announced this morning that David Boden, its vice president of technology the past 10 years, has been promoted to president and CEO of the $912 million credit union.

Boden is succeeding Jeff Schwalen, who is retiring in October after 23 years at the one-time credit union for state highway employees.

Boden has headed various credit union departments during his decade-long tenure, including all aspects of information technology, card services, facilities management, teller operations, electronic service delivery, business continuity and strategic planning and cecurity.

He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. degree in industrial engineering and has been active in political affairs with the Minnesota CU Network. He also serves on the CIO Advisory Board for Fiserv’s XP2 Division and the Technology Council at PM Systems, Hiway’s online banking services provider.
