Missouri Opens Credit Union House

The Missouri Credit Union Association has officially opened its Credit Union House here in the state capitol. Grand opening ceremonies drew nearly 100, including more than 30 lawmakers and government officials. The new "Home of Missouri's Credit Unions" is located just two blocks from the capitol building and features a reception area, a consumer resource center, a large meeting area upstairs, a conference room, and offices for lobbying staff and visiting credit unions. "Missouri Credit Union House gives credit unions a permanent presence here in Jefferson City and demonstrates our commitment to Missouri's consumers," stated Rosie Holub, MCUA President/CEO. During the grand opening, Holub accepted a $3,000 check from Missouri Corporate Credit Union to help underwrite renovations in the Jefferson City location. Thirty-five credit unions and credit union organizations from across the state have contributed more than $47,000 to Missouri Credit Union House, which the MCUA purchased in June 2003.
