BEAUMONT, Texas – Mobiloil FCU has begun using electronic signature technology at its newest branch, the former site of First City Bank.
The new technology, which eventually will be rolled out at the $240 million credit union’s five other locations, allows members to sign forms on an electronic clipboard connected to a computer that makes the information available at all sites. Employees at any of the locations can view the information online, instead of waiting for the signature card to be faxed to verify a signature.
The building, at the heart of the city’s business district, was built in 1962 and was home to First Security National Bank, then to First City Bank when it closed in 1993.
Molbiloil FCU will be cutting a ribbon made of currency at a Dec. 7 grand opening ceremony for the new branch.
