McLEAN, Va. – Both long- and short-term mortgage rates ticked upwards this week, after declining the past three weeks, according to Freddie Mac.
The average for the 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage rose to 6.11% this week, from 5.96% last week; while the average for the 15-year, fixed-rate loan climbed to 5.78%, from 5.65%.
The average for the five-year ARM moved to 5.89%, from 5.75% last week; while the average for the one-year ARM rose to 5.50%, from 5.46%.
